What an idea! Use this to walk your family through the big story of the Bible to prepare for Easter. Let's do it!
I’m always looking for fresh resources to help my children engage in the story of scripture and this devotional hits all the right notes. With simple language, engaging questions, clear truths, and a realistic timeframe (this is key!), this is a truly wonderful resource for even the busiest parents to help their children understand the power of the resurrection and God’s perfect plan.
This is a wonderful way to prepare children for Easter. Each devotional offers an opening prayer, a Bible passage, and thoughtful questions to help your family engage with God’s word as they study together. Over the course of 15 days, you’ll be able to remember and reflect upon the big story of the Bible as you rejoice together in the good news of the story of Jesus.
I know there are lots of good books in libraries for free. If I am going to spend money, though, I want to KEEP Christian books for my grandkids. I give them as gifts. I encourage other parents and grandparents to BUY engaging, uplifting, Biblically sound books as foundations of faith in our next generation.
My sister originally gifted me this book and I loved it! I shared it with my friend who also loved it! As a missionary in Japan who is friends with a translator, we hope this book can be translated into Japanese! Theologically accurate, engaging text, beautiful illustrations!
I love how this Bible storybook displays the parallels between creation, temple, and cross. It is a wonderful explanation of how Jesus fulfilled what was broken and how the entire biblical narrative comes full circle. Pictures are fun and intriguing for kids.
We absolutely love this collection,
My daughter gave one of these books to her first grade teacher and she loved it.
While The Garden, The Curtain and The Cross is a children's book, all ages can learn from the spiritual connections it makes between the Old and New Testaments. Carl Laferton has become my favorite author of Children's books.
This is one of my highest-recommended children's books! We bulk-ordered it and passed them out to all the kids at our church on Easter Sunday! A comprehensive Biblical look at the whole Gospel in terms children can understand and adults can enjoy.
Kids love it and request to re-read it constantly!
We used this in collaboration with and Easter event we held for families at our church. Families were given this outside of the event but then at the event, the story was read and a storyboard craft was created by all families attending. The partnership of both pieces allowed us to have a united Lent discipleship moment for our families!
This is lovely book which gives the big overarching story of the gospel in a very relevant way with great illustrations.
It kept my kids’ attention and has a great message!
