A biblical perspective on what sex is designed to be, to mean and to do for us.
Part of the Questioning Faith series.
Christians are increasingly seen as outdated, restrictive and judgmental when it comes to sex before marriage, cohabitation and homosexuality. In fact for many people, this issue is one of the biggest barriers for them considering Christianity.
Sam Allberry, author of many books including Is God Anti-gay sets out God’s good design for the expression of human sexuality. Readers will be shown that God himself is love and his blueprint for sex is designed to help us to flourish and live out our full humanity.
It is a great reminder of the Bible’s teaching on love, sex and marriage and ideal for giving away to people who may see it as a stumbling block for belief.

A new series of short books published by the Good Book Company in partnership with OCCA has been hitting the shelves – and Sam Allberry’s contribution is this one. Engaging with a question that relates to a huge area of discussion within and without the Church, Why Does God Care Who I Sleep With? is a brilliant introduction to what Christians should think about sex, and engages carefully and firmly with range of objections.... continue reading
It’s a question that’s often assumed, if not asked outright, by people who aren’t Christians. The question itself can be a little perplexing for Christians: what do you mean “obsessed” with sex? Aren’t Christians known for more important things, like what they think about Jesus Christ, or the Bible as God’s Word?
While the question may sound odd to Christians at first blush, the substance of the issue remains. For many people, what Christianity teaches about sex is, frankly, strange.
Sam Allberry’s newest book, Why Does God Care Who I Sleep With?, seeks to address this issues in a clear, pastoral manner, helping readers understand the beauty and aim of God’s design for sexual union.... continue reading
Sexual assault is an issue we just can’t overlook or avoid. When someone is sexually assaulted, we demand justice and rightly so. Most of us know deep within that a violation of sexuality is a violation of personhood. Yet, in today’s culture, we also see a lot of confusion on matters of sexuality.... continue reading
Even our pastor is not thinking Biblically about homosexuality and same sex marriage. This book is very clear in what God has to say about it.
straightforward, readable, practical.
For anyone interested in the sexuality debate presently raging out there, Sam Allbery addresses the issue from a Christian/Biblical perspective. It sets forth marriage as a heterosexual and monogamous model. Laced with scripture Allberry writes passionately and with pastoral warmth and compassionate sympathy for those with differing gender tendencies. Most helpful, I heartily recommend this easy to read work.
