We purchased these in bulk to hand out at a Christmas outreach event. They are great because they are high quality and fun for the kids to do, but also share the biblical truth of Christmas.
Seek and Find: The First Christmas Activity Book (for 4-7 year olds) In the activity book you'll find coloring pages, mazes, matching games, puzzles and more. It's such a fun book to use during advent to reinforce what you are teaching your kids about the true meaning of Christmas! Love the variety of activities and how they are all centered on the true meaning of Christmas!
This collection of titles are so sweet and engaging! We love all three of these books and highly recommend them if you have young children. Our children always attend church services with us and this has been a helpful way to keep them busy during the service while also keeping them focused on the right things! They'd make great Christmas gifts!
A lovely accompaniment to the main book (which is also excellent). There are plenty of different types of activities including mazes, puzzles, colouring and more. I’d have thought it would take a child at the younger end of primary school about 10 half an hour sessions to finish it! This is a great gift for us as a church to buy for our preschool groups and younger children’s groups for Christmas as the deals on larger numbers are good too!
We love all the Seek and Find books and now have these activity books. The kiddos love them but now they each need one.
I received this book from The Good Book Company in exchange for my review.
This is a fun supplement to the Seek and Find book. It has a variety of activities like coloring pages, spot the difference, mazes, and more! My kids love activity books like this and I’m thankful to find ones that are centered on the Bible. This would be a great homeschool resource or something to tuck into your bag for little ones during church. Hoping they release more books like this in the future!
Interactive books are always a win in our home! They’re fun, encourage thinking skills and concentration, plus books such as Seek and Find: The First Christmas, offer big truths for little hearts. The pages in this book are fun, challenging and exciting. I love that there is a mix of Biblical scenes that include people and animals. We found them to be delightful.
There is a small paragraph on each page offering the Christmas story, broken down in a way children can understand.
This paperback activity book accompanies the hardcover Seek and Find book and is appropriate for ages 4-7, in my opinion. My daughter is 4.5 and she is able to complete the majority of the puzzles, counting challenges and ‘spot the difference’ activities. She especially loves the mazes! The Activity Book follows the same order as the hardcover book and has the same paragraph (or big truth) on it as a coloring page, so we are reading one page a day in the Seek and Find book and then using colored pencils to complete the activities on the accompanying spread in the activity book that day. It’s been fun to do these activities together and spread out the fun over the advent season!
These books would be great for young siblings or families to do together. They’re interactive, can span a range of ages, tell the Christmas story and offer some fabulous Biblical truths, such as “Jesus is our rescuer,” and “Jesus is our true King”, always pointing little hearts back to Jesus! They’d make a great gift or addition to advent activities and family time!
* I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of these books from The Good Book Company. All thoughts are my own and I was not required to write a positive review.
With over 35 activities to complete, children will love colouring in copies of the pages from the main book itself, and colouring in truths about Jesus and His promises. There are lots of fun activities throughout, and the book offers a great way to spend time reading and interacting with the scripture that is written inside. It’s not only fun, but also educational, as children will explore puzzles, counting activities and mazes, all related to The First Christmas.
Seek and Find: The First Christmas Activity Book contains activities to color, match, decode, count, and a whole lot more.
The Christmas story is printed throughout the book and the Scripture references are also included.
I’m so glad that the kids can learn about Jesus while having fun doing the activities.
This Christmas activity book is paper back and the pages are nice and thick. The book will be able to stand up to multiple uses by children.
The illustrations are simple yet interesting enough for kids to color.
The puzzles, mazes, and activities are fun and engaging, and I would highly recommend this book to any elementary-age child.
This Christmas activity book would be perfect in any home or Sunday school room.
A big thank you to The Good Book Company for this complimentary product to review. These opinions are 100% my own.
This activity book accompanies the large-format board book "Seek and Find: The First Christmas," recreating some of the illustrations as coloring pages and including other activities. There are some matching, counting, drawing, and maze activities that are suitable for young children, and the coloring pages will be great for older kids because of their detail. There are also additional seek-and-find activities. The book has great age flexibility, since toddlers can scribble over the coloring pages and older kids can color in the lines and focus on the small touches. I would definitely recommend this for kids who are aging out of simplistic coloring books but aren't yet ready for the intensity of most coloring books intended for adults.
Although this activity book supplements the seek-and-find book, it is also perfectly usable as a standalone product. Each new section includes a Scripture reference and the short summary that Sarah Parker originally wrote for that scene. Because of this, the activity book still conveys the story. Also, none of the activities require someone to have the original book on hand. That makes this especially appropriate for gift-giving. Someone like a Sunday school teacher could give out copies of the activity book without having to afford copies of the book for everyone.
I would recommend this to families, churches, and Christian schools. It retells the Christmas story through the short summaries from the author, and the illustrations stand out even in black and white. This resource can be a great classroom activity, gift, and family activity, and it could be fun for siblings of different ages to share the book and each do the parts that they're most interested in. I am very impressed with this, and I would encourage people to check out other activity books from this publisher as well.
Disclaimer: I received a free copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
Are you ready for more fun? Seek and Find has another edition out which has tons of activities. Andre Parker’s artwork still shines here even if it’s in black and white. Have fun with activities like maze, spot the difference, trace and color. Like the Seek and Find above, this book will keep you and your little ones busy having fun while reading the Christmas story
